I just need to bask in His presence instead of my misery.
Dear Mom,Enjoy this Tuesday. “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it” Psalm 118:24 – I just heard this verse again 2 days ago. I purposed in my heart to Rejoice (Bible meaning – full of cheer, calmly happy). I forgot how nice it is to Rejoice through the days. I know life is not easy – some seasons are like Spring and some are hard like Winter. I pray for strength for each of you today as you are at a job or at home, as you parent and as you play. If you are finding it hard to Rejoice – I pray you will talk to God about it and He will encourage you with His love.
Sincerely,
Mrs. B. (Pre-K teacher)

What an awesome note! Great post. My sister always tells me "Remember, this is just a season. This will pass, and the next season may not be any better, but this is a season, and it will not be forever." While it's not as encouraging as I'd like, the sentiment is real! Have a blessed day!

Quite literally, still in the middle of winter, I am trying to take a moment to rejoice in every little thing I can rejoice over…the dishes are done, REJOICE! There is sunshine in my window, REJOICE….

Thank you emuch for your timely encouragement!! That was 'me' for the past week, even though the sun was brilliantly singing. The Lord is faithful and He brought me to a point where my spirits lifted inside…the burden on my heart is still there but I am not feeling it because Jesus is carrying it. I liked the kindergarten teacher's note as well as all the thoughts and verses you shared.

Remember that our dear Lord and Saviour was a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. How he grieved for the wickedness of this world and the stubborness of his people. Your stedfast trust in him even through these hard times is a sure sign that he is with you and while it seems desperately dark now the joy of your Lord IS your strength and will return in time. A verse I love: "For this God is our God for ever and ever, he will be our guide, even unto death." Psalm 48
